A Maasai Warrior from Kenya transforms his body with white chalk paint from the sacred chalk banks during his Eunoto passage to elderhood. He slathers his body with wet chalk and draws decorative patterns with his finger tips exposing the dark skin beneath. When he returns home he is meant to be unrecognizable, especially to his mother, symbolising his passage to a new stage of life. 1979
